Meet the Baker

My name is Stephanie Dobos and I am the owner and operator of The Butter Stick Bakery. 

I am a certified pastry chef and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in 2008. Shortly after graduation I opened shop and have steadily grown since then. In 2012 I won Best Tasting and Most Creative cake from a competition with Austin Monthly Magazine and was featured in the Austin American Statesman for our work with Bake A Wish. The Butter Stick Bakery was also featured in Voyage Houston. 

I have a passion for decorating and have always been creative. My grandmother was a very talented artist and passed that down to my mother and then my older sister. I do not quite have the knack for painting and drawing like they did so I express my creativity through dessert decorating. I was voted most creative of my high school senior class and ever since then I knew I needed to spend my life expressing that gift. 

Owning and operating a business takes a lot of heart and soul and countless hours making sure things run smoothly.
